I bought a used cluster from a scrapped GT and as soon as I connected the right plug(if gauges are facing you), the check engine lit up.
Is it possible that the car I got it from, had the light come on and it somehow stayed on the cluster? On my original cluster there is no problem. Is it normal that the light is on without the key being in the ignition at all? I was afraid to start the car with it, with the hopes that the ECU will clear it.

QUOTE I bought a used cluster from a GT since I sold mine ( a ST ). As soon as I plug it in the CEL comes on even if the key is not in the ignition. If I prep or start the car CEL comes off.
