So i recently checked my transmission fluid thinking it might have been low because ive been getting some leaks around the transmission pan and on the differential area so I checked my fluid levels (on level ground while running) and they are slightly above the max mark I'd say about 3mm or so is this any reason to be alarmed?

Having too much fluid can cause seal leaks as well as slipping. It's best to have it either a little below the full line or right on it. Same applies to engine oil. I usually keep the engine oil between 1/2 and 3/4.
