back again with a quick Q.

iv ordered a couple of these 12v sockets for the car

and will be installing them both in the blank spot here

my question is where would be the best/easiest place to get power for these without causing interference or problems to the rest of the car? need the power to switch on/off when the car switches on/off

my cig lighter socket has been disabled as i am currently running my heated seats AND my floor well leds from the cig lighter wiring and dont want to wire anything else towards that side so wont consider that an option. im also going to be using wago blocks to rewire anything i cut into as i cant be bothered to solder anything and T taps are crap.

any help would me much appreciated.

Just wire to the cig lighter, worst thing that could happen when you are using all the stuff wired is the fuse will blow.

iv decided to go with your first option and wire it directly to the battery. may not be the easiest option but probably the best for long term. out of curiosity, is there nothing near the steering wheel or kick panel that i could have drawn power from? i plan to install a mini tablet in my visor to use for reverse camera as i no longer can see through rear windows lol if i could tap into something there i can just reroute the wire through the kickpanel and pillar
