my stock intake hose is cracked pretty bad, so i want to put in a short ram in my 96 st. what are my options? dont mind price wise, but would like all the get up and go i can get.. and a great sound. im thinking of anything between a cheap ebay one or a secret weapon r. any reviews or suggestions?

Any short ram will make less power than an OEM unit, you just get noise. The only way to maintain, and possibly get marginal gains, is with a true cold air intake that places the filter in the fender-well. The 90-93 Accord CAI can be easily modified to do just such.

False, any SRI will improve on HP. the stock airbox is so restrictive. Adding a SRI with a good filter will improve on HP and engine noise.

Sucking in warm air improves horsepower, of course... rolleyes.gif The stock air box is more than enough for the measly 1.8L of displacement, and it's not like it's a maze of piping from there to the throttle body either.
