my stock intake hose is cracked pretty bad, so i want to put in a short ram in my 96 st. what are my options? dont mind price wise, but would like all the get up and go i can get.. and a great sound. im thinking of anything between a cheap ebay one or a secret weapon r. any reviews or suggestions?

If you do the CAI filter placement right you'll get air shoved into it from the front bumper opening. If anything will give an improvement it'd be a setup like that.
