I have a complete 3sgte engine still attached to the subframe and transmission, which i have to strip down so i can ship the transmission. I have never done this before, so i just wonder if there is anything i should be aware of. Or if i can simply start pulling things apart. For instance, i dont know what to expect when i detach the motor from the gearbox. Any oil i have to remove? Some pictures or a quick how-to would be greatly appreciated.

dont worry about the spline, its beefy and wont get damaged. there are several smaller bracket that bolt the AWD trans to the block, so you will have to remove them as well. there is also an oil cooler attached to the trans so you will have to disconnect that. once everything is unbolted they will start to separate. the AWD trans is EFFING HEAVY so watch your toes!!!!
