Debating if i should purchase a mk3 supra or not, been reading the forums and gathering info for the last couple months. Now im actually searching for one that can meet the criteria i have. Any one here have any input on them, besides the whole 1-2jz - 7m swap

The LS1 belongs in everything. It goes into classic Z cars, RX7's, anything domestic, 240SX's, Supras, etc... It's not like it's a 2000GT. Anyhow I'm sure you'd agree that it'd be better for it to live on with a LS1 than to sit in a field and rot. Even can keep with the same brand and use a 1UZ-FE and R154 or V60. If I were to acquire one that'd be the route I'd take, I'm giving the car a new life so I should be able to give it the life I want. If it's a numbers matching all original car, then yes keep it original. But if it's incomplete or the original drive-train is missing or beyond saving then do whatever you see fit.
