anybody know if the Rav4 had a 5sfe? the motor I've got is clearly a 5sfe out of the 98+ revision, just need to see if this is the same as the 98 rav4.
some show it as a 5sfe, some call it a "2.0L" , the salvage place I'm looking to get a head from lists it as compatible with 98+ camry, solara ect. or maybe the rav4 has a 3sfe, then is the head the same as the 5sfe? I think this one answers it as Yes, they are the same.
If anybody can second this I'd 'preciate it. will the intake, valve cover and everything else just fit right up? http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?p=4484606 http://www.enginebuildermag.com/2000/04/to...3sgte-and-5sfe/ this makes it sound like the later than 97 head no longer had distributor mounting holes. hmmm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_S_engine This post has been edited by VavAlephVav: May 18, 2014 - 2:36 PM -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
