![]() I'd think at first I could make a joke about it, but it's not funny it's a sad irony. I think the next hope for an American car company is Tesla. they are designing their own factories to mass produce the batteries and with that expect to reduce the cost of them by at least 30% https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQMOq-qWVBg ![]() http://www.teslamotors.com/modelx ![]() ![]() it's just a matter of time... -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

To be legally "Made In Wherever" versus "Assembled In Wherever" 70-80%(can't remember exact off top of head) of the components have to be sourced from that country. Not only is the laptop itself labeled as Made In Japan, but even the batteries and disk drives are labeled as such. So yeah, it was made in Japan. Fujitsu is pretty much the last computer manufacturer to still make their products in Japan. Then again you pay for it too.

Only the Fujitsu life books are assembled in japan, the rest are from china. Also when they state assembled the parts can be sourced from anywhere. 99% of ALL computer components come from China, Thailand, Taiwan or Malaysia. If you do happen to have a life book, the hard drive is manufactured in Thailand and the CPU is from either Malaysia or Costa Rica -------------------- ![]() ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |
