![]() I'd think at first I could make a joke about it, but it's not funny it's a sad irony. I think the next hope for an American car company is Tesla. they are designing their own factories to mass produce the batteries and with that expect to reduce the cost of them by at least 30% https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQMOq-qWVBg ![]() http://www.teslamotors.com/modelx ![]() ![]() it's just a matter of time... -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

My Grandpa was the kind of guy who wouldn't accept a ride to the Hospital in a Volkswagen, that was Hitler's car. and now you've got AC Delco of Detroit, Michigan having Anything made in "the people's Republic of China".
To me it's not only that You get what You pay for, but when you pay for something and the money goes in part to pay local workers, and those workers go out and spend their money and that money is going back into the local system so that those people have money to go out and buy other things from local businesses, this is the cyclical nature of "the Economy". and of course it has nothing to do with 'these workers' being better than 'those workers', it's the companies and the way they do business that I have no desire to support. but these days even boycotting products doesn't seem to do much good. and if you complain about a companies policies they will just start an advertising campaign to convince everybody that they are really good people, they won't actually change anything. down in Independence, MO they have a huge, old, rundown, abandoned factory that just sits there, it was originally one of the GM plants around here that was converted to making B-17s during WWII, there used to be so many working class people who could afford to have a family and make a respectable living. Now all these old factories are closed, and this town is the Meth Capitol of the Midwest. that's the only thing we have left to manufacture, and sell to the rich kids in Kansas. I would say that maybe when we go to war with China we can ask them to make some tanks and planes for us, but the truth is that China has no need to go to war with us, all they'd have to do is say STFU, and we would have no choice but to comply. -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
