On occasion I'd take it a little past the redline if I was in a hurry, I know I'd take second up to 60-62 before going to third or fifth. Normally I was a grandpa and took it to 3,000 and would skip fourth and go straight to fifth. I'm trying to remember if I ever used fourth outside of downshifting... Oh well.
