Ok guys I've read up on a bunch of your swaps for awhile I wanted to do a full on gt4 conversion from at200 then I thought 1mz swap now I think I've leaned over the edge a little. Has anyone considered the feasibility of an LS swap? I've seen a few gt4 clips that come with the rear subframe and I bet someone out there has just the subframe layin around that they got with a clip. My thoughts on it are there are most likely more ls parts available versus toyota parts and many more tune shops specializing in ls versus toyota. I know custom driveshaft and I'll have to cut a trans tunnel and I've seen guys talking about Tacoma 2wd diffs but not sure exactly how that would work. Also I plan for my backseat to be be taken out and fabbing just a steel box for whatever maybe a fuel cell. Anything I'm missin any ideas?

Take the easier way out and make it RWD with the transverse AWD components. At least that's how I'd personally go about it.

Yeah but the problem is whether or not the gt4 rear end can handle it. Twice the strain because the front wheels arent connected and then 3 times the displacement engine. He will either destroy the differential or snap axles.

Never said anything about changing the engine, making an adapter let alone room would be a nightmare. It'd be easier to modify the gearbox than to do all the other things, who cares if it's transverse.
