Does the air Temperature sensor need to be in the actual pipe of the Short Ram intake itself (like how a MAF is inside of other intakes)?
Or can it be in a short hose that is clamped onto a thin offshoot from the pipe?

It needs to be in the air stream to be accurate, can't read the air temp if there's not air flowing past it.

Alright thanks! Exactly what I thought, I'll be cutting off that bit of the intake and drilling a hole, fitting a grommet and placing the air temperature sensor in ther actual intake pipe tomorrow.
