Hi everyone smile.gif.
I hope I've posted this in the right place.
I'm quite interested in a gt4 st205 I've been offered, but it had a few small issues with it.....

There's a slight knocking coming from the near side front suspension, the current owner seems to think it's a figure 8 linkage arm?
Would this be an expensive or hard part to replace?

Also, his advert says the car is not boosting untill 4500rpm, then it will boost hard to around 14psi (read on a digital boost gauge). The owner seems to think it's due to a faulty knock sensor. Does anyone think this is right? If not what would be the problem? And again is it an expensive or hard fault to fix?

Some help would really be appreciated! smile.gif

Wow, sorry I missed this. Clunk no big deal. Not boosting and then boosting hard is NOT bad knock sensor (which is easy to change). Lots of lag and then hard boost sounds like either aftermarket turbo (lazy) or poorly set boost controller. What kind of boost control does it have? Stock turbo? Let us know if you need any more help. www.primemr2.com. If it's 3sgte we probably know it. Have a great day.
