The hybrid.
So I believe that the 98+ 5SFE block is suppose to be the strongest and is a direct mate with the rev3 3SGTE Head. Apart from the water jacket needing a bit of drilling? Looking at the comparisons I cant see the difference. Does anyone know?

unless you plan on making more than 500 HP, you dont need a 98 block.

other than that its not a direct bolt on, there are some mods you need to do, and you need extra parts. Like 3S-GTE crank gear and sensors and ECU. the distributor is different so you need that too.

Yes I intend to go over that and this pretty much covers all the comparability info:

I plan on slowly building the engine up over the next year but as in the first post, I can't see the difference in water jacket?

As for the transmission mating up Im still researching. I think TB had made an adaptation on the bell housing.
