Hey guys. I went to the salvage yard this weekend and found a few celicas. One of the things I grabbed was a set of head light shims/gaskets. I was super excited that I found them and took them off so quickly that I can not recall EXACTLY how they are supposed to go back on. I have looked through the threads and even some of the multimedia pictures to see if I could figure it out, but I haven't had much luck.

Does anyone know exactly which way the shims are supposed to be located and how to install them?

Thanks in advance.

Slip onto the bumper in which orientation? There is an "eye lid" side to the gasket. Almost like the "eye lid" portion is cut in half so it is either on top, or on bottom.

From the rear forward. It may be necessary to remove the bumper to gain access. If it is at the junkyard just loosen the top bracket and pry the bumper far enough to start removal, it should be pretty easy. Installing them will require you to at least loosen all the nuts and bolts to gain access. Bumper to fender 10mm nuts are a pain and require you to partially remove the fender liners.
