So this darn axle just will not come out on the left side of the st205. i thought i knew all the tricks of the trade from work but i soon learned that nothing was working. ive tried pry bars, hammers with pry bars, little bars big bars and just about every angle i can get at seeing as i can only get the car about 3 feet off the ground. im wondering if any of your magicians have any tips!

that adapter is designed to fit on the axle stub, not the tulip. you will most likely will not be able to get it into place while it's attached to the slide hammer. I usually squeeze the adapter between the tulip and transmission before coming in and threading the slide hammer onto it. A more labor intensive but sure-fire method involves lowering the subframe about 2 inches to open up some extra space
