Never took them out! confused.gif Where do they go?? confused.gif Also, when I turn the spring makes a lot of noise, kinda like a "poping" noise..........Is this normal??? confused.gif I'm really confused!! Specifically what top hat are you talking about? Is it the aluminum hat that dropzone provided you are you talking about your OEM part? Here's a pic of my GC's. If it's the aluminum hat that should fit snuggly onto the top of your spring?

As far as the O-rings, they provided you with a supply, basically spares. Which is a plus bcus GC only gave me 4 of them for each housing, but I had spares lying around so that was a plus. Those go on the outer part of your stock shock housing and you then enclose it with the sleeve. It acts as sort of like a "stabilizer" so your sleeve will stay in place. So KEEP those extras you might need them!

As far as the popping goes, if you do a search under "popping" you'll find that a lot of us experienced this problem as well. Adding zip ties and a lot of lubrication seemed to stop mine, so i suggest lubing your bearings and the base of the sleeve where the spring sits and that "might" solve your problem. What causes the popping? The spring seems to be "binding", it's supposed to rotated without any interferrence/friction and that seems to be what that problem is.

I know Spedtoe fabricated a bearing that would compensate for that "pop".
Check his site out or just fab your own.

Hope this helps.....
