So I like cutlery, I like tools, I like the feeling of doing something, even if what I'm doing is nothing.
I've always liked the way steel feels to use on various things, always carry with me my OKC RAT-1. Anyways... I was going to purchase a small camp axe for my dad because we both like axes and... well to be honest we like the little stone wheel we got and I intend to use it on something. I was looking at this Marble's Damascus steel small axe http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/produ...Axe/MR000D.html and honestly I'm am liking what I see. I was wondering if any of you fine folks out there in 6gc land enjoy axes and such as I do or have any thoughts about the Marbles axe? -------------------- Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)

Wood handles will hurt your arm with lots of use, the composite handles like Fiskars uses dampen those harmful vibrations. If you want something for use, get a Fiskars. If you want something for art, get one of those you linked.
