so yesterday on my way home from work, my battery light went on.
just a little while longer my headlights went off as I felt my car losing power. eventually my car died and had it towed to my house. this morning I decided to look into it and noticed a burning smell from the alternator. so I disconnected it and found this : ![]() ![]() I took the alternator to test and its fine. I bought a new battery and still no juice. seems like I might have a short somewhere but I don't know where to start .. any ideas ? thanks . -------------------- 94' Celica GT Manual |

the harness . the 12 that connects to the alternator, that terminal u have in the picture, plug in the battery in the car, grab a volt meter and put the power to that terminal and the ground to the car, and see if the bytery voltage is actually reaching to that wire which goes to the alternator
