Ok so I recently bought a Chevy cruze that came with the 1.4 ecotech turbocharged engine. And I was wondering if you could put a Chevy engine on the Celic. Obviously it's not something I plan on doing, but just wondering if that's something that could be done. From what I remember it has. 138 hp stock can't remember the torque but I see some hitting 200 with a good tune, intake, and exhaust. I figured this would be a cool project since everything seems like it would fit in a Celica.

Ok. It's a nice compact engine that has an amazing torque table (not even a curve, just has torque the whole time in boost) and great fuel economy. Problem will be mating it to any Toyota transmission, wiring harness, ecm, and even getting one for less than an arm+leg since it's such a new engine. If you were to use a GM transmission you'd have hell getting any axles to work unless you had $$$ custom axles built for it. I think for the amount of work and cost involved you'd be better off with a 3S-Gxx engine or boosting what you have already.
