Ok today coming home from work, before i pulled into my garage stall i noticed a puddle of stuff on the ground. I got out to see what it was, and to my suprise it was motor oil... the puddle was about the size of a basketball, and the situation was not looking to good seeing as i just cleaned my spot the day before, so i know the leaking had just started... So I opened my hood to find little droplets of oil sprayed all over everything on the front left side of the underhood area... I checked my dipstick, everything turned out normal, so i started the car up. Then i notice a thin stream of oil smoke coming from the now oil sprayed area... Anyways i just got back from the dealer about an hour ago so they can tell me whats wrong. I have no idea what is wrong here and im worried this is going to be expensive... Grrr...

well i got my car back today... its a worst case senario... The head gasket is the cause of the leak, and its not cheap to fix... the dealer estimated me $1240 to fix. I dunno if ill be going to the dealer to have it fixed, but i need to get that done asap. To make matters worse when looking at my car they also told me my cv boots in the front were cracked and would need replacing soon as well, for $470... yeah this really sucks. And before you badmouth dealers, get a good relationship with one first. The dealer i went to waived the fee to determine the problem, and i paid nothing.

Ya man they can be ok, but alot of the time they rape ya, but they also specialize in your particular make so its worth it. But still alot of mom n pop shops can handle most things.

Its just a head gasket? Why is it so much money?? Maybe you could get the gasket and do it your self??
