 Safest Top Speed, noob question |

Say I wanna find the top speed in my ST. It's an automatic, so I don't have as many options for some things.. but after I'm in the highest 'gear', how high should I let the RPM's get before I slow down? Should I let it get so close as to redline, or 6000? Or something lower?

yea, I have a '94 ST, about 161K miles on it and a lil bit ago my car got up to 120, maybe more. ( my friend was driving and pissed off at me
 ) But yea, I don't think I have the limiter, and my clutch was actually working at the time. (damned clutch) Even though that doesn't have much to do with speed, if anything at all, I'm still pissed that it's busted. LOL. ANyway...main points:My car: '94 ST 120mph. good clutch at time. Good ishn. |
