The thermostat housing outlet bolt that connects to the radiator snapped. Bottom hose on the radiator. Anyone know any good ideas on how to remove it? And where can I get the bolt? I called Toyota parts store from my area and they said I might need to get a new housing which is expensive. If I an just get that bolt off I'll be good to go. Thanx for any help.
PS. Don't buy the seal from autozone, it's the wrong size. It's what got me into this mess in the first place. |

you could pull the housing off the head, and when you do drill out the old bolt then just put a new one in (it would have to be larger, though... unless you're VERY good at drilling bolts out).
Otherwise, if you don't want to buy it all from toyota.... i do have a 4/7a-fe thermostat housing i'm willing to sell. Unfortunately, right now i have it "grouped" together with the water pump, pulley, and both 1/2's of the thermostat housing (all for $40)..... i'd be willing to sell the 1/2's together for a smaller price..... e-mail me: toyotaspeed90@hotmail.com if interested ( http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/219038/10 half way down the page) |
