So I'm looking to buy a custom header and I need to know what's a good size piping would be for it?

Oddly enough European 7A-FE models have a header from the factory and no pre-cat, was rated for 10 more hp if I recall correctly. If you do everything yourself you can almost break even just from scrapping the cat.
I would just tie that in with the stock exhaust to keep obnoxious sounds to a minimum, then buy a 7GC short-shifter and some suspension. Nice tires go a long way as well. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
