yesterday my car was driving fine. I drove it home in a bunch of snow.
it kept snowing. today i leave fo work and my speedometer was jumping all over the place -- everything else was working fine tho. while idling it was going up and down fairly quick. several hours later im on my lunch break, still not working. Could ice have been on it, melted, and maybe got the contacts wet? did it just up and die? Other gauges are working fine and dash lights come on so its not a fuse. Any help appreciated -------------------- |

Speedo sensor is probably dead, they're plastic and will eventually give out.

Speedo sensor is probably dead, they're plastic and will eventually give out. Yes but would it "dying" cause it to jump around like that? Seems more like an electrical problem -------------------- |
