 3s-gte engine in a smog test?, Will it pass in CA? |

I've seriously been looking into saving up for one of these engines, but in addition to the enormous price (all of which I would have to pay for off $8.50 an hour for now), I don't know if it's going to pass smog in California, because we got it pretty strict here.
Anyone around here who has one know? I don't wanna be an idiot and invest all this money into an engine that I won't even be able to run legally; it would be a pain to have to add on to the cost of the swap, just to get it to pass smog. |

umm, there are close to no companies that source USDM japanese engines. Secondly, most american cars have high milage, turbo engines degrade faster then NA engines. And third the price would be outrageous!
