Hypothetical discussion here (and I tried using the search so bugger off)
What does the best and brightest think about engine performance if you drop the turbo off a 3SGTE? Assume you can boost the compression ratio easily enough and you assume you can run a stand alone ECU (something open source, mega squirt, angry hamster + wheel)? -------------------- -Mike
mjcoury@gmail.com Team Reynolds Style Celica Blog Celica Wiki It will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work. |

Why do all that to a 2nd 3sgte when you can just buy a 2nd gen NA jdm engine that shares 99% of all the US parts?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-TOYOTA-CELICA-...c49&vxp=mtr I remember back in the day with bolt on's people would have their 2nd gen NA in the mid 140 whp. Or you can sources a 1st gen 3sge head and slap it on a 5sfe block. There is a lot more viable options NA than taking a 3sgte and taking the turbo off of it, just my 2 cents. |
