Hi there, I have a question, I've been getting pressure into my cooling system, I just finished doing a 5sgte swap with a 4th gen head.
Before bolted the head on, I had a machine shop check for flatness, They said it was good, So went with there word. So put the engine together, and then ran it and I was getting a lot of pressure in the cooling system, so I then pulled the head, took it to different machine shop, and I said just go ahead and machine it flat. After it was finished I asked the machine shop guy how warped it was, He told me I only had to take out only a little bit, He said the same thing, It was probly ok. So I then reinstalled it,but I used copper spray this time, Its all together now, But I haven't filled the cooling system yet. I had a thought, I think there was nothing wrong with my head or head gasket all along, Is it possible for the turbo to blow some kind of seal were it will put boost into the cooling system?????? Let me know Your thoughts on this and if anybody has experienced this. Also yes i'm using ARP for the head. |

The turbo can't pressurized your coolant system. The cartridge keeps everything seperate. How do you know what your coolant pressure was?
