Hey guys
I went to check my oil the other day, and when i pulled out the dipstick i could smell a faint smell of petrol.... Obviously that doesn't sound great... It seems to be running fine. No sign of smoke etc. My fuel consumption has increased but thats more likely the fact i've moved to town and am now doing a lot of stop go driving... Im going to pull out the sparkys tonight and see if they're screwed - Is there anything else i should check??? Mines a 3SFE Thanks! Liam -------------------- ![]() |

Could be injectors are leaking, or the fuel pressure is too high due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator. The other possibilities being plugs are fouled/worn and not igniting the fuel mixture properly. Worst case rings are letting blowby occur, though usually you'd have oil burning happening as well.
