Hey guys,

A long time ago i went Yokohama V4S 205-55-15 tires. They were great tires and lasted me 8 years and 120k miles. I rotate every 2 oil changes and i run Neg 2 camber front and neg 1 in the back.

Its that time where my tires are near slicks bald. I go to find the same tires again and Yokohama no longer makes V4S in 205-55-15. In fact it shows the V4S was replaced by the Envigor which isnt available in 205-55-15. Yokohama now has S-Drive in 205-55-15 anyone runs these? Other then this i almost have no other choices in 205-55-15 .. even the tire shop said i have an oddball tire size

If i step it down to a 205-50-15 i have a huge list of nice performance tires. my problem is the S54 tranny has such short gear ratios going down a little makes my RPM even high for highway use.

If i go up to 205-60-15 i get all these tires with soft side walls which reduces steering response

What tires do you guys like and hows your experience with them?

My '97 convertible had Bridgestone Potenzas on when I bought the car, and I changed them to Kumho Ecsta tires on tirerack.com. They handled better than the Bridgestones, and I was finally able to drive in snow(!!!). The first set of Kuhmos had about 12,000 miles on them when I bought a set of rims and another set of Kuhmos from Tirerack this past winter. The original set looked as good as new, and I sold the factory rims and Kuhmos in about 30 minutes on Craigslist. My wife and I drive some really winding roads on the weekend, and push the car around tight bends with zero problems.
