I have a 1995 5S motor that I put in a 1996 GT convert. Everything is hooked up but engine is not turning over. Its getting fuel but seems like its not getting spark. I noticed the 95 motor has a different distributor than the 96. The 96 has a 5th wire that connects a coil module located on the firewall but the 95 motor does not have a 5th wire. Not sure if that makes a difference.

'95 is OBDI and '96 is OBDII, so you're going to have to transfer over any OBDII specific parts over.
Wikipedia surprisingly goes into good detail on the differences between the years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_S_engine#5S-FE What immediately sticks out to me is going from a cam sensor to a crank sensor, which would cause no spark. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
