well since this is a new topic, i made a new thread.
like the title says. the swap is complete, seems to run like a bat outta hell. makes about 18 psi. only problem, idle and cruising is lean off the chart on my wideband. when I roll into it, the A/F ratios are good and going into boost its good about 10.5 i have changed the fuel system to top feed RC injectors and removed the resistor pack. so the wiring is the same as a regular GT. base fuel pressure is is about 45psi and i have an aeromotive rising FPR. does anyone else have this issue? -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo

I'm considering this swap for myself down the line, but i'm just wanting to get your honest opinion on whether it is worth doing the 3SGTE Swap into a FWD Celica? like is torque steer a big issue or any problems with loss of traction due to the power?
any information regarding the swap would be great, I have everything handling wise and would need the GT4 Brakes but other than that how do you find yours? -------------------- It's not always about how fast a car is, but how it makes you feel.

I don't notice much torque steer on mine. Maybe I'm not going fast enough. with my tires and a wet road I have to drive careful with not much boost as I spin the tires easy. I'm running stock GT brakes with slotted and drilled rotors and it seems good but I'm not driving to the limit so... a 3" exhaust all the way to my magnaflow muffler works good but is louder than stock. I put sound insulation in the back which helped. If you buy a swap from someone else you may have to deal with a thousand little problems if they were lazy or incompetent with the swap. I'm dealing with this. |
