I popped my hood to check fluids and such and now it wont close! I've tried being nice and setting it down and just pushing it hard, to hulk slamming it as hard as humanly possible and no go. It tried to do this once before but I was finally able to get it closed after slamming several times, but now it wont do anything! Any ideas?

Often the cable or the latch gets stuck pulled in the release position so when the hood drops the latch never catches closed. You can check that by using a screw driver to push the hood cable and the arm it pulls back to pulling tight on the cable. If the cable pull inside the car feels slacked then that's what's going on.
