I did do a search, and I read up on the 7a header install writeup, which was helpful. However, I still have a few questions.
First, in the 7a exhaust, is that a catalytic converter directly downstream of the exhaust manifold? It's a larger cylindrical part that I can't see what else it could be. Second, will this ebay header replace everything up to the main cat? Finally, the writeup states that there are two O2 sensors, but is that also the case with an OBDI car? There is no claim by the header manufacturer that there are two spots for O2 sensors, so does that mean I would have to get the downstream one welded in? Thank you very much for any help. |

I don't believe there were ever any direct bolt on headers for the 7afe celicas. only corollas, hence the writeup saying you'll have to take it to a shop to extend the piping underneath.
I've got that header on my 7afe. works fine. bolted up with no issue, just had to have a shop weld in the piping. oil filter is fine as well. i can reach it with my hands, just as long as it's not too hot under the hood. ![]() -------------------- ![]() *1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS *1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser *2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun. |
