Hello I'm in the process of rebuilding the 1mz motor off a 1999 solara for my celica project and I was looking to replace the cams with 3mz cams and I was wondering if this would make a difference? I have herd 2mz cams work but I'm not sure what model Toyota that engine is in.
Thanks for your info and happy new year 2016!!! -------------------- |

Just looking at the cams I can defiantly see a big difference in the lift the exhaust cam is much smaller. I was reading up on the mr2oc forum and I see you posted about this. I was wondering if there is a certain year 3mz I would be best to pull these from. Also would I have to go with the 3mz valve lash clearance on the exhaust cam side? If there is a difference.
