 ready, set, no go, engine dies when I start it |

in the past week I started my car and then it just dies. I don't think its the starter because it turns. The engine goes then the rpms goes form 2 down to close to 0 then dies. The engine lasts 1 second then that's it.
I start it again, press on the gas and try to keep it between 3 & 4 (rpms) and after a few minutes I can drive. I have a '99 and I've had to warm up cars before but they were over ten or 15 years old. any ideas? I'm thinking of taking it in but I'd like to know before hand what it could be.

On average, with fuel injection, you should change your filter every 2 years or 24,000 mile, whichever comes first. you should also get a fuel injection performance tune up. It will get all the carbon and other crap out of the intake and valves etc... |
