I've thought about putting it into a ditch. Haha! Not really. It's in VERY good shape for 190,000 miles.
We replaced the bad ground the third time we've done it. The second bearing we changed we figured we got a bad one during the second swap. Once the third bearing went bad, we replaced the hub and bearing with good aftermarkets. We also replaced the bad ground from the body to the trans (it was literally chewed on by a mouse). That one went bad and we figured that the hub and bearing were the issue, but far fetched. We then replaced them with a Toyota bearing and hub, and it just went bad the other day, like overnight. CV is good. The wheel is true and balanced. The knuckle being warped is unlikely, but not out of the question. I'm going to swap the bearing out again with an OEM and put a ground from the starter to the battery. Like Daniel said, it happens... The way it got loud overnight made me think that is in fact electrical... When cranking, the arc is going across the ball bearings... -------------------- ![]() 2000 GT-S 6 SPD... SOLD! |
