Because Box told me to, I decided to make a project thread for my new daily, an 07 Impreza hatch. It's pretty much a stock base model with cruise, and unfortunately automatic, but I got it for a good price and it's in really good shape so I'm happy with it. Don't plan to do much with it other than regular maintenance and a new radio which I already have. I'll probably throw on a set of mudflaps before the winter to preserve it a little better.
Here's what it looked like when I picked it up...a little dirty lol. ![]() After a quick wash and rain ![]() ![]() -------------------- 2007 Impreza 2.5i - Daily

I routinely see 12 year old bulbs still running at work, dim but working. Ballasts almost never die unless the output or input are damaged by water intrusion or arcing. Sometimes aftermarket stuff is good, sometimes it's not, but it's more chance and luck than OEM stuff is. When you open and install a genuine Philips or Osram bulb you're guaranteed it will fit properly and the optics will be precise and the beam produced from the lamp will be correct. Aftermarket is a roll of the dice, even with good brands like Morimoto.
