Yes, I know it's a little too early to plan any shenanigans but unfortunately there's no time like the present. Our house will be listed for sale next month and when it sells, Brigette is kicking me out and making me move 1,000 miles away. After that, it will be very difficult to make it to another Midwest Meet. She will eventually be following me, of course, and after that we will be lucky to make it to one meet every year or two. I doubt if our house will sell next month so we can plan this meet for April or whenever works best for everyone, but we will almost certainly not be able to make a summer meet.

The PO was a good friend of mine, who I thought took very good care of the car.

Turns out, he was more dedicated to work than the car, and he basically let the car go for 2 years (with the exception of oil changes)

Last summer, I had to rebuild the whole front end when the upper ball joint broke ($1K), got it all working, had to buy tires ($700).

This year, emissions forced me to replace the knock sensors, but since I had to pull the intake manifold to do that, I replaced the starter (because it's under the intake), a coolant sensor and all the injector seals ($1k)

I officially have more money into the car than I purchased it for.

In celebration of getting the car back together again, I washed it last weekend. I wanted to make sure that the coolant was all bled, so after the bath, I let it run...

The upper radiator hose clamp decided it didn't want to live anymore. The car didn't overheat, but now I'm not sure if the new denso radiator is still good.

It's always one step forward, two steps back.
