I have a question. I recently did an engine swap on my 1994 Celica GT. The power steering is leeking from the hose that connects to the pump itself.
The ending with the "O" is and the bolt goes through. I currently have a copper washer on both sides of that built but it leaks terribly... so on one side I stuck 2 copper washers on and it doesn't leak as bad... still drips. My question is... is there supposed to be an O ring on one side if so where and to what specification. I need help getting it to stop leaking and I know it's the source but I can't remember how it was assembled before I took it off to swap engines. Thanks guys. |

If you're really in a bind you can re-soften the copper washers by heating them up real hot over a stove or torch flame and then letting them air cool, then sand them flat, they'll reseal well enough to get you home or to the parts store.
