i hear an annoying sound from the rear shocks (from the top, both sides) when i hit light bumps (like rubber pieces squealing), most of the time when its cold outside. I replaced all shocks with kyb gr2s 2 years ago and the problem appeared 1 year ago and its getting worse. I had the strut mounts replaced too (KYB) at that time. I went to the dealer and they told me it was the top plates (is it the same thing as strut mounts?) Anyone has an idea of what could be the problem?

check your cv joints....sound like one is on the go....or is already gone dammit people! use the search button.... alot of the "clunking" in the rear of our celicas is the sway bar bushings.... replace them...they cost $8 a piece and takes less then an hour to do.... liquor, trying going somewhere else other than toyota.... they will bend you over and do you up the bum!....then when you think they are done, they will do it again |
