Hello guys I have just get an ST205 that has been sitting for 6 years. I assume the reason was put aside is the clutch is in bad condition. Before remove the engine and transmission what you guys suggest to have in mind. I 've never had a car that was sitting for so long period of time therefore I need some ideas as to what parts I must have before pulling everything apart. Mainly engine components.
I know I should have: timing belt 2 inner tensioners and the hydraulic one cam seals crankshaft seals front and rear Oil pump seals and gasket thermostat water pump perhaps I will need the valve cover gasket as well alternator -air con belt and tensioner power steering pump, tensioner gearbox and transfer box seals release bearing clutch-pressure plate The engine will be removed from the car therefore I want to change possible causes that may cause issues, especially those which are located in hard to reach areas and would be a pain to be replaced when the engine and transmission is back on the car. Thank you in advance, and looking forward for you suggestions. |

I would add new tires onto the list as well. depending on how it "sat" tires could be old, worn, dried, cracked and would definitely have flat spots on them.
