Basically which exhausts sound the least raspy? The flex pipe on my stock exhaust broke causing a small exhaust leak, and I honestly like how it sounds now (not raspy, but deep and a little loud) but it's putting fumes through the a/c and rattling off my skid plate so its time to upgrade!

Keep the cats, don't put on a header, and as far as the muffler goes something baffled opposed to straight through will have less rasp.

The cat is part of the stock header right? So i could replace everything after the header?

I think the pre-cat is yes, then there's a main cat further downstream. There are a zillion choices for mufflers, so that's the hard part when trying to figure out something more custom opposed to a bolt-on catback. I like the MagnaFlow XL as far as baffled mufflers go, though plenty of options from Flowmaster, Walker/Dynomax/Thrush, Hooker/Flowtech/Holley, etc... Also a company called Jones Exhaust I've become fond of, fairly priced and U.S. made with high quality. Honestly I think the quality of the Jones I bought for half the price of the MagnaFlow I bought was just as good if not a bit better. Of course it all depends on what you're wanting in terms of sound and looks. Another option would be a smaller straight through or resonator halfway then another straight through at the end, shouldn't be too raspy doing that with cats and log manifold still in place. Straight throughs flow better(except for cheap louvered core ones) and will give the most power, but the differences are usually within a few percent even on high horsepower applications.
