Having just bought a 1995 Celica GT I am having problems opening the filler flap.
On pulling on the release cable I heard a snap & sound's like the cable or the plastic lever has broke. Till I get round to fitting a new cable or lever does anyone know of any way that I can open it so that I can fill it up with fuel. Cheers in advance. |

Yes Birmingham in the U.K.
I was wondering what actually lock's the filler flap, is it a small bar of some kind that when you pull the lever it actually slides the bar out of the way. I can get to the cable if I remove the front seat & I might be able to pull it open, but if the cable has broken I might have problem's. My fuel flap is on the passenger side (right hand drive) & as I look at it I wondered which way it opened ie; left to right or vice versa because if I have to prise it open I want to make sure I am going the right way. It's a geat start to my Celica motoring as I only got the car yesterday & need to put some fuel in it. 1995 GT Japanese Import. |
