i was just thinking about this and didn't know if it was doable or not. everyone knows that when u do the 3sgte swap u can make it fwd and with more money all wheel drive. but could u just make it rear wheel drive. i didn't know if there was some mod u could do to the 3sgte tranny to block out the front wheels so everything goes to the rear. just a thought i had and i figured i would throw it out there.

uni-body frame and if you have a awd version of the car on the same frame .. you can make it RWD... just have to disable the FWD in the AWD.. cars arent that much diffrenet then cars 30 years ago.. belive me or not.. yea today they have alot more electronics in them.. but mechaniclly everthing that is out in cars now what developed 50 - 40 years ago..

If you have the AWD version... I doubt you'd want to make it RWD. It's not hard, assuming you start with an AWD platform but to custom build an entire rear-end (not as simple as swapping trunk pans) is a whole new ball game.
