Alright I had a thought. Most people complain a ton about the cost of the JDM 3s swaps. What if instead of importing a 3s to the U.S. you pulled the motor out of a 5th gen all-track. I would assume it would bolt right up, right? Would the wirring also be easier since your swaping from a left hand drive to a left hand drive? If all this were true, I think that it would be cheaper, granted you would only have about 200hp compaired to the might JDM 3s's
I havn't ever seen this discussed on here, and always wondered about it. Sorry if this has already been discused buy I couldn't find it, and didn't see anything searching for it. |

the harness would not have to be extended but other than that, its the same engine
alltracs are rare, let alone a wrecked one you could pull the engine from it would cost more than to get a JDM engine, which bolts in the same, and have Qatar do your wiring the only other benifit is that the engine would be a US engine and pass visual smog checks, but the clerks are too dumb to spot a JDM engine anyway -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
