Where can I get the plug for the stereo? I wonder if I would have more of an advantage going around it. Lay power wire and thicker speaker wire myself. Anyways, do they make a plug?

Excellent post. If you have the 8 speaker setup just get the Metra harness like i used. You can buy it here for a pretty good price unless you have the means to buy it locally- Metra harness- 70-8112 It depends on your goals. If you feel the need to amplify the speakers with an aftermarket amp or you want to upgrade to high wattage aftermarket speakers, than bypassing the stock amps may be appropriate. I'm very confident however that the stock amps would handle aftermarket speakers extremely well. If you have a 4 or 6 speaker setup than you could just use the wiring harness that you can get from any Circuit City or Best Buy. As for the OHM ratings of the speakers, im pretty sure they're all 4 OHMs, but dont hold me to it. I had Circuit City test mine when i thought i needed an aftermarket amp for my 8 speakers, and they dont seem to nkow much about that sort of thing. ![]() -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
