What is it that causes our engines to be so under powered? Is it the ECU's, or what?

i am on my friend daiels sn and i drive a hyundai elantra. and comparing it to a cavilier isn't very nice. i have never seen a calvalier keep up with me. and don't make fun of me or the car. they are nice |
