Do we, as in GT owners, manual's of course, have a chance against the Ford Probe GT and the 92+ predlude vtec 2.2? Any body with experience?

That's not what you were saying earlier... you basically were saying everyone is dumb because we think realistically that a Celica GT cannot beat any of the mentioned cars. I have no doubt that a built 5SFE can lay down some good power (working on that with our MR2)... but I'm also gonna say... a modded 5SFE can only go so far. You're actually the first person that I've ever heard say the Stock toyota trannies are good for perfromance... when in fact... they only do what they're designed to do. Also note: the S2000 tranny may have similar final drive ratios... but their gearing is complete different... the way the engine makes its power is completely different... the way it delivers the power is completely different. You can't just say because this tranny has a similar final drive means it can perform the same. No... the trannies, which are geared completely different, is the factor along with the power delivery and output. The reason I'm still posting... it's not because of anything you said to anyone else... but mostly because of the disrespect you showed towards me. I'm not putting down the Celica, nor am I ever. I, along with all of the countless others who have done swaps, bought performance parts, and have actually pushed their cars against another, have figured over time that the USDM 6th gen Celicas, in stock mechanical trim, don't even come close to competeing against other cars in its class... in terms of power and acceleration (even mod for mod). Also, I kinda figured you would be one that has been around domestics... from your mention of the Prelude's 2.2 vs. the Celica's 2.2... so I didn't question your knowledge of cars... only your interpretation of "Final Drive ratios"... but as you may know by now... size isn't everything... nor is comparing numbers.
